If you’re lucky, your closet will end up as immaculately chic as fashion-plate entrepreneur Julie Macklowe’s. The former financier is all about keeping things sleek and streamlined –which is exactly the inspiration behind her killer new skincare line, vbeauté. Here, she chats with Clos-ette about her gutsy style and favorite finds.

How would you describe your personal style?

I like to push the envelope. My style is a bit more edgy and ‘runway-esque.’ I love wearing unique items that are real ‘wow’ pieces and catch my eye.

I can’t get enough…

What's the most cherished thing in your closet?

A Bakelite necklace from the 1920’s from my paternal grandmother Dolly. She had exquisite style.

What will you be packing in your Travel Jewelry Case this winter?

My Solange Azagury-Partridge Hotlips ring, a pair of Jessica Mindich goth earrings, a few Lorraine Schwartz bangles and my V ring by Maud Cabot, which I wear daily. And I can’t forget my vbeauté It Kit!

What’s your favorite fashion advice?
