Bikinis and bandeaus and beach trips, oh my! It’s our favorite time of year, and we’ve got a favorite new swim collection we’ll be wearing all summer. Meet Été, the line of sweet, retro-chic suits from our pals Laura Poretzky-Garcia and Lily Dickerson Maddock. The designing duo recently launched their debut collection, and we’re loving the just-right details –think nautical stripes, darling bows, and just enough Brazilian bravura to turn heads. Here, the girls behind the brand...
Dear Readers,
I rarely do a personal outreach for a charity, but cancer is something that touches us all. My own father died of colon cancer, and my aunt of breast cancer. In my father’s case, early detection could have saved his life.
This is why I am so passionate about Pin Down Bladder Cancer, a new campaign focused on raising money and awareness for this startlingly underfunded disease. Though bladder cancer is the fourth most-common cancer in men and fifth overall, it gets 10-20 times less funding than the other top five most common cancers. It is also the most expensive cancer to treat on a per-patient basis.
Join me in the fight to raise funds and awareness by purchasing a “Pin Down Bladder Cancer” pin here and wearing it throughout the month of July. All proceeds will support bladder cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
Your support can help bring this killer to its knees –and give someone the chance my father never had.
Thank you,
Melanie Charlton Fascitelli
Please visit www.pindownbladdercancer.org to make a donation, obtain the pin, learn more about the campaign's mission.
Ferebee Taube and Eleanor Ylvisaker, the co-founders of Feyt.com, call their new personal styling site “the future of style.” We call it just plain genius. Each week, the fashion world darlings curate a series of gorgeous outfits culled from the likes of Net-a-Porter and Shopbop. Later this summer, they’ll introduce a fancy-pants algorithmic technology that recommends styles based on your personal profile (and a slew of other features that take the guesswork out of shopping)....
When it comes to costume jewelry, we will make practically any excuse to purchase just one more piece. Case in point: we’re justifying our inevitable Kendra Scott Jewelry spree with the fact that we’ve got a bevy of brand-new jewelry cases we simply must fill up. And really, who can blame us? The Texan jeweler’s chic, wearable designs come in such eye-popping hues, it’s impossible to pick which we like best. We’re talking pink agate...

Just when we thought we’d curbed our jewelry addiction, here comes I Love Jewelry Auctions –a genius fixed-price jewelry auction hosted on Facebook three nights a week.
Here’s how it works: the talented jeweler Jordann Weingartner, who launched the page this past January, scores a mix of on-trend costume pieces, designer-inspired baubles, and even fine-jewelry items and marks them at discount prices. Then each Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening at 8:30 pm EST, she introduces roughly 60 unique styles on the page, and the “bidding” begins. When those killer turquoise earrings or that quartz pendant necklace catches your eye –as it inevitably will –all you have to do is comment “sold,” pay the invoice Jordann’s team emails you, then wait for the item to arrive (free of charge) at your door step.
(At which point you’ll of course store it in one of our off-the-chain jewelry cases.)
The whole process is fun (you’ve got to act fast – the page has over 60,000 fans with their eyes on your prize) and, most importantly, the jewelry is as easy on the eyes as it is on the wallet. Just check out these beauties we recently spotted –but sadly, didn’t win!
