clos-ette case: SUITE NY's Kris Fuchs

Posted on February 02, 2013 by Linley Taber

As a principal at SUITE New York, the modern design showroom, Kris Fuchs knows a thing or two about drop-dead-cool decor. So it's no surprise that every inch of her Upper East Side home is striking –especially, we think, her walk-in closet. The sleek, mirrored space is a genius blend of high design (see: a Louise Bourgeois sculpture; custom circular door handles) and high function (said mirrors swing open to reveal a home for every top, pant, and pair of sky-high pumps). Here, she gives us a peek inside her modern masterpiece.

In the depths of winter, it’s easy to forget that fashion should be fun. Fret not: one glance at Stacy Bendet’s exuberant, vintage-packed closet is like a sartorial shot in the arm. The Alice & Olivia designer collects everything from tribal prints and multi-colored furs to snazzy sequins –all of which inform the slightly-retro aesthetic of her popular ready-to-wear line. Posted on December 20, 2012 by Melanie Charlton

Posted on December 05, 2012 by Melanie Charlton

If you’re not watching Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators every Tuesday night, we might not be able to be friends. And if you aren’t completely mad for its breakout star, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, then we need to check your pulse. Because the dashing Brit is not just the most charming thing on the small screen; he’s also absurdly talented (just ask his bevy of A-list fans).

clos-ette case: Kelly Wearstler

Posted on November 27, 2012 by Melanie Charlton

Kelly Wearstler has been called the "grande dame of West Coast design." We call her just plain genius. Her exuberant, inventive, off-the-wall interiors, her inspiring (and addictive) blog, her collection of cooler-than-cool decorative objects –really, we could gobble it all up. It's no surprise, then, that her new ready-to-wear line is, in a word, killer...
