Just when we thought we’d curbed our jewelry addiction, here comes I Love Jewelry Auctions –a genius fixed-price jewelry auction hosted on Facebook three nights a week.
Here’s how it works: the talented jeweler Jordann Weingartner, who launched the page this past January, scores a mix of on-trend costume pieces, designer-inspired baubles, and even fine-jewelry items and marks them at discount prices. Then each Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening at 8:30 pm EST, she introduces roughly 60 unique styles on the page, and the “bidding” begins. When those killer turquoise earrings or that quartz pendant necklace catches your eye –as it inevitably will –all you have to do is comment “sold,” pay the invoice Jordann’s team emails you, then wait for the item to arrive (free of charge) at your door step.
(At which point you’ll of course store it in one of our off-the-chain jewelry cases.)
The whole process is fun (you’ve got to act fast – the page has over 60,000 fans with their eyes on your prize) and, most importantly, the jewelry is as easy on the eyes as it is on the wallet. Just check out these beauties we recently spotted –but sadly, didn’t win!

We are, not so secretly, pretty devoted to the art of consignment. You get rid of pieces you’re ‘over,’ make room for the new, and earn a little moolah to put towards your next must-have splurge.
TheRealReal.com, a website devoted to consigning luxury brands, is making the whole shebang even easier by putting the process online. Simply fill out a form with the goods you want to say goodbye to (think high-end brands like Prada, Oscar de la Renta, and the like) and enjoy free-shipping to whisk the approved items off to TheRealReal’s headquarters. Or, if you’re based in San Francisco, Los Angeles or New York, ring up one of their merchandise managers who will comb your closet for you –and haul away unwanted styles.
It gets better: consignors can take up to 70% of the selling price, instead of the standard 50% offered at brick-and-mortar boutiques. What’s more, you can track their sales online, and earn credit towards future purchases on the site.
Unsurprisingly, TheRealReal.com has already scored some amazing pre-owned clothes and accessories, making the site a can’t-miss destination for high-end designer deals. Sign up for free membership, and you’ll enjoy stylist-curated daily sales, a noteworthy number of contemporary designer pieces, and personalized updates on new pieces in your size. We’re officially hooked!

There are many reasons we love Nate Berkus Associates' design directors Sasha Adler and Lauren Gold. Among them: the fact that they are style-savvy, beyond nice, and just plain freaking adorable. But the gals’ numero uno appeal is, of course, the fact that they can design a drop-dead room like no one’s business. As Sir Nate’s right-hand women, the Chicago-based duo are responsible for executing the firm’s high-profile projects with aplomb. We’re talking lushly layered,...
If you haven’t noticed, we are kind of obsessed with organization. But even certifiable, borderline nutty neat-freaks like us can struggle to maintain order in our bathroom shelves and vanity. Enter the talented and lovely Trish McEvoy, and her beyond-clever Makeup Planner System. True, this baby isn’t new –someone on our team will admit to skipping a day of eighth grade to go get her very own –but holy moly is it helpful. “It’s a portable...
f you’re anything like us, the endless array of beauty products on the market can feel positively overwhelming. That’s why we’re so grateful for the guidance of our friend Sarah Howard, the gorgeous guru behind the blog Beauty Banter –and why we’re so thrilled to announce her new personal consultation services. The New York-based beauty writer (and proud product junkie) is essentially doing for medicine cabinets, bathroom shelves and vanities what Clos-ette does for closets:...
When it comes to drop-dead-gorg portraits, no one can top our friend Claiborne Swanson Frank. With an eye for pitch-perfect locations and a knack for making her subjects look their best, she’s simply one of the most talented young photographers around. The chic shutterbug is currently hard at work on her first book (American Beauty, to be published by Assouline next spring), and took a moment to chat with us about her latest venture. Claiborn..
Our bestselling Travel Jewelry Case is the ultimate way to store your baubles at home and on the road. But what should you be stocking it with these days? We turned to Ali Galgano, founder of the online jewelry mecca Charm & Chain, for some seriously stylish suggestions. “Jewelry can take your outfit to the next level and give you multiple options while traveling,” says the New York-based accessories fiend. Here, she offers up some...
